Liezel is a qualified social worker, with a Masters Degree in Social Development and Policy from the University of Pretoria. Since 2009 she is the Manager at Kamcare. Before joining Kamcare she was already working as a social worker in the Roodeplaat community focusing on community development. Traumatic experiences in her own youth has lightened a flame in her to care deeply for the community. She truly believes that poverty can be addressed through training and empowering a community.
Ds Alwine
Hilda was born in Dewetsdorp in the Free State. She also matriculated there. Hilda Studied BSoc Sc Social Work at University of the Free State. She work i.a. at Dept of Health and Welfare, Elderly Care, SAP and SANCA. Hilda is married to Francios for 32 yrs and has a daughter of 20.
Roelf is a father and husband, a dreamer of a better future, and a full time pastor at the Dutch Reformed Congregation in Kameeldrif. He is a qualified life coach and therapist with more than 20 years of experience. He is a firm believer that individuals and communities can change and that people can make the world a better place. Willem has been a pastor at the Dutch Reformed Congregation in Kameeldrif and involved leader in the community since 1991. He holds a Doctorate in Practical Theology from the University of Pretoria, and considers himself to be a lifelong student. He has a passion for training and for developing leaders and healthy communities in South Africa and Africa. He is one of the founding members of Kamcare.
Originally from the countyside in the Free-State Province, Drian has a love for nature and the outdoors. He is a part time pastor at the Dutch Reformed Congregation in Kameeldrif. He has passion for working with the youth and to participate in their journey with the living God. He believes that spending time and sharing stories (God- and life stories) with people is to participate in the communion of God, and also a way to bring forth never ending hope by changing of perspective.
Mologadi Jaqueline Mashitisho: Social Auxillary Worker
Jaqueline is a Social Auxillary worker and has experience as a child care worker since 2010, working with children from very poor families assisting with homework and social problems. She is part of a family of five, her mother and four siblings.
Her passion is to be a teacher or a social worker one day. It is important for Jaqueline to see a difference in every child or family that she became involved with.
Elzaan has bookkeeping and office administration experience since 1993. She is married to Arnold and has one son. In her free time she runs a business, Thatch Galore. Her family is her first priority and her dream for the community and South Africa is that all families should be able to live together in peace and harmony. Her second love is watching her son play rugby and she believes in the following quote from Ryunosuke Satoro:- "Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean."
Thea has over 35 years administration experience. For many years she worked in the banking environment. Thea started working at Kamcare during October 2010 as the secretary. Her motto in life is to live life everyday to the fullest.. making every second count. To help other people, ensuring the happiness of her own family and doing everything that she does, to the best of her ability, makes her very happy.
Catherine has been working at NG Kameeldrif for the last 27 years and has been part of Kamcare from the very beginning. Catherine is always ready with a warm smile, a helping hand and a sympathetic ear to all in need. Catherine comes from a large family and believes in hospitality towards friends and strangers. Catherine’s dream is that all people will go to sleep every night without being hungry and she takes great joy in doing her part to assist Kamcare with the distribution of food parcels.
